I like what you say about giving R life skills, but "not changing who he is." This was our concern with giving D ADHD medication, but we were pleased to discover that the meds helped enable him to focus, but did not "change him." I also have problems when people act like that there is something wrong with him, there is nothing wrong with him, he just needs a bit of help to function in our societies view of what is normal. I prefer to view it as a "superpower." His brain is really amazing! Okay--sorry for the long rant, I did not mean to write so much.
